Cover story: Puppetry Journal

The Puppetry Journal, the quarterly magazine of the Puppeteers of America, did us the immense honor of interviewing me about my puppeteering family history and puppet filmmaking process. Not only did they dedicate two spreads to The Stringpullers, but they also put Misophonia on the cover. All thanks to Jeff Bragg, who has been interviewing puppeteers for the magazine for a long time (and has collected them in a book here) and to the Journal stewards, Jamie Donmoyer and Joe Tenerelli.

If you join Puppeteers of America, you get this beautiful full color print magazine four times a year, filled with news of what’s going on with puppetry arts in America, book reviews, interviews, things you may never run into on social media.

Join at puppeteers.org and you’ll get the Spring 2026 issue we’re in.
