Misophonia / NY State Puppet Fest: ROCHESTER

Misophonia will be part of the New York State Puppet Festival’s PUPPETS ON FILM at The Little in Rochester, New York on June 3 at 7pm. Linda will be part of the panel after this preview screening. The line up will travel to other locations throughout June.

New York State Puppet Festival "Puppets on Film" Short Film Program, curated by Pilar McKay, adds to our live puppetry program by highlighting short films from puppeteers worldwide and in the United States. Films chosen for the first short film program ever at the festival challenge the conventional wisdom of what puppeteering on film can be. Prepare to see emerging puppetry and traditional techniques used to tell immersive and engaging stories. Films have been featured in international film festivals, and NYSPF is pleased to be bringing them to WNY!

Misophonia / International Puppet Fringe Festival

Misophonia is part of the new Handmade Puppet Dreams Frights and Delights collection screening at the 2023 International Puppet Fringe Festival NYC on Thursday, August 4 at 4pm, and again on Sunday August 13 at 11am. I’ll be there for the artist talk back right after the Thursday 4pm screening along with filmmakers and HPD producers Alex Griffin and Jessica Simon, fellow cohort Jaime Sunwoo, and HPD founder Heather Henson. The Festival is an avalanche of workshops and performances by puppetry artists from all over the world and runs from Aug 9-18 at Teatro SEA at 107 Suffolk Street in NYC.

Misophonia will be part of the Underexposed Film Festival yc in South Carolina, March 22-25, 2023. This is an especially exciting festival because of its recognition of live-action puppet films as a distinct art form. Misophonia will screen with Last Looks on the final Saturday evening at 7pm at Winthrop University. Find the line up on Underexposed Film Festival yc.
